Kothes! Technische Kommunikation GmbH & Co. KG is the

technical documentation and CE marking.
We stand for models of cooperation in which consulting and service are

Our documentation check has become a common start of collaboration with our customers; as part of it, we review your manual, risk assessment, declaration of conformity or incorporation, paying particular attention to aspects of legal security and user friendliness. Special requirements, such as for software documentation, manual for medical devices or documentation for the US market, are also considered. We have performed more than 650 documentation already. Our analysis can be used as a basis for making targeted improvements yourself.

In more detailed, comprehensive consulting on the other hand, we study your processes throughout the entire information life cycle, from the risk assessment to the operating manual, CE declaration, service plans, spare parts lists, etc. We optimize your processes with new concepts for documentation, software solutions and business process outsourcing.

Furthermore, we support you with comprehensive services for all aspects of technical editing and CE marking. Our services include guides and operating manuals, software manuals and online help, standards research, risk assessments, illustrations of every type, multimedia applications and other related services. We can also handle the translation of the documentation for you.

Our seminars and workshops offer practical continuing education for technical editors and all those with responsibility for technical documentation and CE marking. Along with more than 70 public events each year, we provide in-house workshops at your site for our usual our courses as well as special content to address your needs.

Our technical editorial staff work with state-of-the-art tools and systems such as the COSIMA go! editorial system, DOCUFY Machine Safety for preparing risk assessments and the graphics software Corel DESIGNER®.

Kothes! was founded in 2003 and currently employs at staff of 70, including about 40 technical editors. With locations in Kempen, Bremen, Berlin and Stuttgart in Germany as well as our Kloten office near Zurich, Switzerland, we are able to respond quickly to customer needs throughout the German-speaking countries. Our customers include more than 1,000 manufacturers, operators and importers of technical products, from family enterprises to major international conglomerates.

Our focus is on the quality of work for you, which is why we have established a quality management involving three-level review, established and documented uniform standards in our editorial guide and organized departments for particular subjects. We place great value and emphasis on continuing education and qualification of our employee with both internal and external resources. Numerous awards attest to the quality of our work, including five “Dokupreis” awards and another as a “top employer” in 2009.
